Sirisha Bandla is an American Aeronautical Engineer and Astronaut of Indian Origin. She is the third Indian-born woman after Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams and 4th Indian to go to Space. Sirisha Bandla pursued a Degree in Bachelor of Science (B.SC) in Aeroscope, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana USA (2006-2011). Sirisha Bandla, vice president of government affairs and research operations at Branson’s Virgin Galactic, became the third woman of Indian origin — after NASA astronauts Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams — to fly to space with the US Billionaire Richard Bramson and 4 other – pilots David Mackay and Michael Masucci, Virgin Galactic’s chief astronaut instructor Beth Moses, and lead operations engineer Colin Bennett — traveled to the edge of space before returning to earth aboard the Galactic Unity 22 spacecraft.
